THE CENTER PIECE
A DESK DESIGN COMPETITION
The pin wheel layout contains blocks that spirals around the centralized point of a square. By using the negative space around the pin wheel we can reverse the orientation of the blocks to create an open space in the center. As the pin wheel expands outward we are able to create a large space in the center. This space is intended to be the focus of attention, or Center Piece, for interaction and communication within each studio section.
